im currently restoring my mk3 xr3i .now I really like the look of the rs16i but didn't really want to build a replica and cant afford one. I had a thought last night does anyone know of any companys that would do me the rs1600i bonnet and side graphics but with the words 'xr3i' instead of rs1600i is this wrong and a bit cheesy? or would it work? that way the car will have the rs1600i look I like but wont be hiding the fact its and xr3i .I do have the rs16i front splitter and fogs as well as I think it looks a lot more aggressive .please leave some comments opinions below and i'll go with the majority (if I can get them made)

no not keen on replica's but really like that look woiuld like that look but never deny its a 3i .cracking car in its own right anyway but it would be unusual and have to wonder if its ever been done before

I knew of a series 2 with an RSI ste graphics pack from new
Looks a bit weird but it was original and set it apart from the rest
Not saying you will find the original kit just that its not such a barmy idea

cheers lads sounds like a goer ,i emailed dmb today not heard back yet. dont mind paying extra for it, but think it will look good people will think rs16i but on closer inspection it'll be clearly badged as an xr3i ,thats what its all about making you car unique to you

My brother in law has just finished restoring my old rs16i and bought all the graphics from DMB and they were spot on, also helped someone fit a set of retro turbosystems style tiger stripes the other day and they also were spot on

 

if you can get him to return calls/emails

 

always answers phone to me thats if not on holiday etc
