Looking for a digi dash, looked at stack, aim and pi systems.
Looking for people with experience of using a digi dash input really.
Cheers billy

Sounds a good bit of kit, for half the price of a stack dash.
How did you find it fitting it?

The AIM will work with the Autronic.
Personally I think the AIM is the superior digi dash. The Dash2 oftens wins on price though for most people. The AIM's configuration software is light years ahead. I configured a Dash 2 for someone a few weeks ago and it was not a nice experience!!!!
There is a new version of the MXL out soon too which although I have not used looks even better. It's WiFI for configuration too by the looks of it.

How much they worth? Can't find a price
A lot. Around £1700 for the 4" display. The larger ones are up to around £4k last time I saw, but I think there's been w price increase recently.
Looks right at home in the BAC Mono:

Or in the MP4 GT cars:

The Race Technology dash is undoubtedly very good value for money, however as a company they are hard work to deal with and the software as Stu has mentioned is not very nice to work with.
Once you have your head round how to calibrate stuff its not all that bad but that can take a while.

I've just recently attained UK Distributor status for AIM products.
If you just want to display chosen data from the Autronic ECU, then a MXL Strada unit will do that for you. You also have the option of adding an additional 8 0-5v analogue channels for any sensors that don't run through the ECU.

If you want to datalog information to analyse later on, then the MXL Pista unit is the better unit for you. Using the supplied software, you can build up a very good picture of what is going on.
For example, this screenshot shows throttle position plotted against a track map build from the internal lateral and longitudinal G sensors:

Price wise, I can supply you with a MXL Strada for £795.00 + delivery or a Pista for £1495.00 + delivery.
More than happy to answer any questions on these units if you have any

I don't really want it to be too fancy. Just really want speed, rpm, oil pres, oil temp, water temp and maybe boost all in one unit.
Data logging, action replay etc not interested in.

If not, I can supply you a sensor that will measure both oil pressure up to 10 bar and oil temp up to 150 degrees C. The sensor outputs can be connected directly to the AIM dash or into the Autronic if there are spare 0-5v inputs.

It sounds like the MXL Strada will be more than adequate for your needs. Do you already have the Autronic ECU and loom? If so, do you know if it has the provision for oil temp and pressure?

No I'm on L8 at the moment, I think James asked about autronic.
Is L8 not going to be able to support a digi dash then?
I just thought it would wire up to the original sensors etc? Or am I way off?!
I misread the earlier posts
No, L8 won't support a digital dash. The sensors cannot be piggybacked reliably to supply both the ECU and a digital dash. It would mean running additional sensors for all the channels you want to see.
The AIM MXL can display 6 values and show warning alarms for them. So, assuming you went for:
Oil Pressure
Water Temperature
Oil Temperature
Air Temperature
Boost Pressure
Battery Voltage
You would unfortunately need sensors for everything but the battery voltage - it does push the cost up!
This is one I've recently fitted to a Corsa, it uses a serial interface to stream ecu data from the Link ( ecu is off in the pic which is why the coolant temp is wrong )
You can calibrate just about any sensor to the dash but it does only have 4 auxiliary inputs so most of the data does come via the ecu.
By installing a data logger you can have tons of inputs

So that would be the same for a stack dash as well? I'd have to buy every sensor?
Racepack IQ3 maybe another option.

Motec's new displays look pretty hot too. Although I'm sure you need a Motec to run them, at least for now anyway
A bit expensive for just a display though maybe. But they sure do look good.
