Lift the pedal up/wedge it up if no assistant, then pull the cable from the 'box end, should release the ratchet.

Yeah lift the pedal towards the seat and it'll release the teeth on the ratchet and pawl, hold it with your finger and pull cable out

Cheers!

Cable is completely removed at the moment, so assume i need to thread it onto ratchet first (should be easy i guess?) then give it a yank with the pedal fully up and should release it.

Yeah hook it over the top of the ratchet then let go of it. It'll tighten up a bit then press the clutch pedal down with your foot 3 times and you'll hear the teeth biting as it tightens up
