torque settings for cossie cams and head??????????/
just wondered if anyone knew the torque settings for the cams and the head bolts on a 88 2wd saph

Head bolt torque settings on my 4x4.
1. 45-50 nm.
2. turn 180 degrees.
3. check if these are 110nm.
Just finished mine today.

As for the cam caps have a look in the Technical Essay Archives forum.
All the workshop manuals are in there

will these be the same for the 2wd cause when i bought the bits i was told there are 2 types of head bolts mine are the early ones apparently. O and any info on the cams

the 4x4 are the late ones.
Think these will be the same settings, but look in the tech section on the manuals in there to be sure first.

88 cos.
settings for the cams.....
Camshaft frontbearing caps to c/head 8-10nm.
Camshaft bearing caps to c/head 19-23 nm.
oil threads.
Head....
stg.1....45-50 nm.
stg.2...turn 180 degrees
stg.3..check for 110 degrees.
C/head cover bolts....10-15
think that is it
