Im going to go and have a look at a couple tomorrow, not too worried about economy as I'm used to my stage 3 saff. Just thought it would be a more interesting car than my mk1.5 1600 focus
I still like mine and I'd buy one again.

Looks nice that, differant with the 7 spokes on. Thinking of a white 56 plate with 48k on clock or a 07 plate silver with 78k on clock.
price wise 3900,3300 respectively

Price on these are all over the place great little car but not very quick I`ve just sold one for Ł2,400 76000 2owners 55 plate VERY tidy car but couldn`t sell it so ended up giving it away.
Heard several people mention something about that. But I've never had any problems with mine. You have to be a little bit careful with the clutch and throttle when you start, especially when the car is cold. But this is mostly caused by the setup of the engine. Would it be too smooth many people would complain about that it's not typical for such a sporty car.
Mine just stalls now and then when you move the car at about idle speed. Looks like the combination of throttle and idle speed control in one unit sometimes doesn't work properly. When you lift your foot, the throttle closes and the engine speed drops too fast the idle control isn't able to open the throttle fast enough to prevent the engine from stalling. But as mentioned, this doesn't happen very often. About once a month or so.
