Hello all
It is with great sadness that I've finally had to make this hard choice and the saph has to go. I would prefer the car to go complete but deep down I know this unlikely so if breaking it will mean that many others saphs are kept on the road then so be it. I really did not think when I first bought the saph that I would be 11 years later having to get rid but family must come first and our new born is here and money is a little tight so I can't justify keeping her in the garage any more.
The car is a 1989 2wd sapphire in white.
The Engine. Received a full rebuild in April of 2006.
Built using the standard 205 block this was checked and tested and deemed perfectly strong enough for the build.
The bottom end has all been dynamically balanced.
The head has been ported and a BD10 fitted to the inlet side and standard left in exhaust side.
Power output a good strong 380BHP using a T34.63 which was also stripped checked over and rebuilt at time of the rebuild.
The engine has done the usual 1000 miles running and oil and filter changed and then a further 2500 - 3000 miles since up to this day.
The rest of the components used to complete this build,
Mahle pistons and rings - New
Oil pump - New
Water pump - New
ARP big end bolts - New
All new gaskets
Cambelt - New
Cambelt tensioner - New
Thermostat - New
All sensors - New
4x4 oil spray bar - NYRSS
Siemens 55lb injectors - New
Auxiliary belts - New
4x4 turbo oil return pipe - NYRSS
-34 Actuator - New
4x4 exhaust manifold - NYRSS
4x4 inlet manifold - NYRSS
4x4 Fuel rail - NYRSS
4x4 throttle body - NYRSS
Built by the very capable chaps @ Motorsport Developments and set-up (additionally they have done all work on this engine before and after rebuild)
Don't really want to split engine as it is a good strong solid unit and will make someone looking for a engine very happy. Pretty much as fresh as you can get without any running to do so can bolt in, turn the key and enjoy.
Please note that the engine and all parts on the car are still fitted to the car and will only be removed when payment has been received and cleared.
Also have some brand new items that have never been fitted to the car bought in readiness for getting her back on the road but as said family commitments have meant other wise.
Also gearbox has no whines or knocks and clunks at all and smoothly goes up and down the gear with no issues.
At the same time as the engine rebuild the car received brand new suspension comprising of Koni adjustable up front and Bilsteins at the rear with Ahmed Bahjoo springs. Brand new 4x4 brake callipers and discs were fitted to the rear with a set of AP Racing 4pot 330mm kit to the front both front and rear discs are cross drilled, and finally a full set of st/st braided lines completed the braking system.
Under the bonnet got kitted out almost entirely with pro alloy goodies, comprising of intercooler, radiator, turbo radiator, 2wd header tank c/w sight glass, swirl pot and PAS tank with the breather being supplied by Bailey. The tanks have all been sprayed in black crackle type paint.
There is also a Philloy single bar strut brace, and a Mirage polished st/st 4x4 turbo heat shield.
All parts still fitted to car and will be removed once funds received and cleared as soon a I can as life is a little busy at mo with a 3 year old and 11 week old !!! plus I'm on nights at work so not much time left to myself at mo lol hence why I'm having to let the old girl go.
In addition to the saph I have a few parts which I started to collect but never got round to fitting.
Wasted spark kit Ł350 (Ł400 new)
Distributor cap alloy blank for use with the above Ł18 (Ł25 new)
Fuel pump rewire loom Ł45 (Ł59 new)
Fan rewire kit Ł48 (62 new)
Saph front bumper alloy mounting brackets Ł150 (Ł190 new)
Alloy L8 ecu bracket to mount into 2wd L6 position Ł10 (Ł17 new)
Brand new fuel filter Ł10 (Ł16.50 new)
Brand new passenger front wing Ł60 (Ł85 new i think)
Plus full car worth of parts obviously.
That will do for now but I'm sure I've missed bits but if any extra info required just Pm me and I'll get back to you as soon as poss, plus I'll post some pics up as soon as I can, but in the mean time if anybody wants any pics again let know and give an email address and I'll send some to you.
Just to add would prefer collection on parts especially the larger heavier items but will post at buyers cost just let me know.
Thanks in advance for having the time to read through this long ad.

Good evening all, firstly thank you all for your responses but today the whole car was sold plus the spare parts so its all going in a job lot.
This is the route I wanted to go down as I really don't have the spare time to break the car and the whole breaking process would of taken ages.
Sorry for the members whom have already been in contact.
