Elvington NR York First RWYB of the season this SUN
Anybody going??
Hope theres some saxos and Leon Cupra-R's going...
I dont think they are going to like a potentially 600bhp Scoob with road legal slicks waiting till they get to the 1/8mile and then setting off
Hopefully Ill drop in to the 10's and beat my previous 11.6 @ 115ish
Terminal was low due to poor boost control in higher gears.
If you do keep an eye out for a stickered silver subaru estate with a black bonnet and 666 on the plate.

well tbh i fooking hate when people complain, its worse that people who bought houses near heathrow are complaining there houses aint rising in value like others in london due to the fact there pn the flight path and the noise makes em hard to sell and they aint worth as much
seems strange they never said that when they bought the houses as they was cheep
as for people ragging the cars, fit traffic calming chicanes ( not fucking speed bumps
) that way they have to give way to on comming cars and cant rag the cars
infact why cant the councils make that desison as im sure they get a nice income off the air field and have for years
makes ya sick dont it
soooo many people comlaining about stupid things , i personally think that burning shit in ya garden should be against the law as that fooking drive me mad with the smoke and the smells BUT thats allowed for some reason, whats potentially more dangerous too

you've never been to bradford then?
they fitted some along a rat run everyone used to use to get off the M62, which was a road i HAD to use to get to where i worked....had loads of near misses with wankers not obeying the signs
I was wanting to do a timed top speed run in the GTR but thats been scratched as the meeting is just RWYB dragging. I am having a run up to see Tims GTRs doing some shakedown runs tho.
The noise abatement stuffed shirts will fook Elvington up if they get involved...just like they have at Donny.

an appeal is in place and underway as i understand it. the hanger application is for the airfield owners own jet and has been in for ages . theres a long history of use for motorsport on the airfield, and the people who run the airfield have a set no of days they can run events, it may end up with a restriction on the number of days per year if the objectors case is upheld. long way to go yet for the owners.
excellent day and a big turn out of cars, hope everyone enjoyed themselves.
many top runs today, highlight of course for almost everyone there was the appearance of the Jun car and the Top secret Drag R skyline. Tim enjoyed himself by the look of it, and ended up with the fastest 2 car runs of the day.
The Top secret drag R ran a very impressive 10.3s 136mph on its first and only proper launch after a warm up run, Tim mentioned it ran at low boost, and he also did it on road tyres, not drag tyres.
the Jun car was similarly impressive, tim ending up on 10.9s 130mph.
other notable time was the 10.99s 132mph by Mick Begley in his R32 .
fastest Bike ran a very impressive 8.91s 158mph! 2 bikes ran 8s today.
next rwyb at Elvington on 10th april
Tim will be running the Top secret car in anger at Scoobyshootout on 22nd may at elvington, which should see a 9s run he hoped!

Chris, What was the overall positions?? Did I improve on 7th, as I ran nearly 1sec quicker when we fixed the linkage.. need a new exhaust though, and also cracked the inlet manifold.
