Swapping the fuel tank on my RS
I have an almost new fuel tank to replace my rather tired original.
All looks fairly straight forward but I'm wondering about the main pipe from the filler cap into the tank, says sod all in the Haynes manual and from experience, I'm thinking it will be too much to hope for that the 23 year old seal will come out ok and then reseal into the new tank?
Any pointers appreciated.... this underside clean up seemed like a good idea at the time

carefully remove the clips one by one before touching the tank, bit of penertrating fluid will do the trick
ive never changed the seal either, be worth taking the neck out after the tank to was the 25+yrs of road dirt out of that area while its out
