Cant remember the Amal valve, but I think the water pipes are- top water pipe goes to thermostat housing and bottom goes to the o/s rad.
You can run without water pipes just make sure you let the car idle for a few mins before switching off.

U can bridge the two water pipes together top to bottom if u have a air cooled turbo, just by a joiner, easily done, Amal valve comes from map sensor to actuater I think, ecu runs pipes to map sensor and the Amal valve n bleed valve r usualy between actuater n map sensor

1 nearer to the rad goes to the rad return mate an top 1 goes to top rad hose mate!

Top one shud plug into the pipe that goes from rad into water thermostat just under dizzy, it shud have a thin pipe that pushes over the long tube on top of turbo,
Had too much booze n sunburnt

No buddy if it has water feed then use em,
I think the s1 turbo is air cooled,

Plum the water in buddy or it won't last long at all!

That's what I wanted to here. To me they are there for a reason someone said earlier to leave them off and let it cool before I switch it off

Let it tick over for a min or two after driving hard anyways,
Let all the oils and water pump round engine and turbo,

Always warm her up before ragging it as cool her down before switching her off

If you have an s2 turbo t3 water cooled plumb it in will greatly increase the life of the unit. Turbos are big bucks these days.
