Just trying to get an idea on what it would cost at the moment.

i would like all the main components to change a 2wd escort back to a 4x4 one including sump, gearbox front diff etc.

If there is a trader on here that would like to undertake the job at a good price and take the existing 2wd bits in against the 4x4 bits then i may be interested.

I may drive the car and fall in love with 2wd yet but i do think i would prefer the car to be original.

Mate I will swap your 2wd diff for my 4x4 diffs if you like plus I also have a 4x4 prop and rear axle

 

Also I have the shafts rear beam

 

It would bye difficult to do bit by bit like that, I need to find a gearbox really as that's the most important bit, and th e 4x4 sump

 

Ok mate well if you need the diffs I only want Ł150 for the pair

These are the 4x4 parts i have:

Front craddle,anti roll bar,tca's

Rear diff,beam,arms,short & long props,rear shafts,stub axles

 

so is the 2wd stuff valued much more than the 4x4 stuff??? iv got a 2wd set up n wouldnt mind going 4x4 down the line so just wondering?

Guys im going to resurrect this thread as i have decided i want the car proper and how it should be. not only for the way it drives and handles etc but also for its value and originality.

i am going to start stripping the car asap with the first thing being to get the engine out. also this will give me a chance to tidy the bay etc. once i have done this i am going to start swapping bits out.

anyone with any bits they would like to swap or offer up for sale please let me know. closest people will get first refusal as i dont want to be travelling up and down the country picking bits up.
