Default rev problems

i had a problem with hunting the revs were brought up to 1000rpm which solved the problem last week now i found a cracked pipe going from 3bar to inlet. i replaced it at work and this dropped the revs down to 800-900rpm so i was happy then i left work and noticed when i take my foot off the throttle the revs creep down slowly below 2000rpm have i done somthing wrong or has anyonee else had same problem??

I was told to adjust the screw under the throttle body when the idle control valve is unplugged. Adjust it so the car almost cuts out then plug the ICV back in. But this has just made the car hunt and the revs still drop slowly not the way they should.
