Default Ka Power Steering Leak From Rack

There's a leak coming from the steering rack on my missus Ka, I've had a look but I always find it hard to find the source of a leak (this one being no exception) so was wondering is there a common place where these leak from?

Ka racks are common for failing, the rams get worn and pitted and the pipes going into the rack are known for leaking.
We used to sell them and our supplier would allways say that you should change the pipes when you change the rack.

What are the rams?

I've changed a power steering pump but that's it as far as anything to do with power steering goes so don't know the technical terms for the parts of the steering rack.

There the parts inside the rack, you would need a new rack if the rack is leaking, check the pipes what go into the rack first to se if they are leaking, dont over tighten the pipes on the rack as you will bugger the threads up.

I think the leak "may" be coming from one of these pipes so I thought I'd take them off and put some ptfe tape around the threads.

I took these pics just to check if this is normal as there's something in the top hole but not in the bottom, the other pic shows the corresponding pipes, I just wanted to check if this is normal incase someone had been at it before as with the bottom tightened up the pipe still turns quite easily.
