Default Corsa C Z20LET *Drag racing event - Vids inc

I ran it around like this for a couple of week - To get a feel for the car and just to make sure nothing was wrong

It was only boosting to about 5psi and running pretty rubbish, Changed the Spark Plugs for some Astra VXR NGK Iridiums which cured it,

Also changed Spark plug covers as the fake carbon was abit tatty

I then lowered the front end down a tad as it looked abit silly so high - These pics where taken at a local car show

Looking forward to this. I was thinking about doing one for an everyday car as I got z20let block. I bought another engine to forge it as my Astra mk4 sri turbo was running 330bhp on a gt28 an sold it to buy a 3dr Cosworth

My mate has one of these, but looks just like a standard 1.2.

Bet it goes well!

LoL Glenn - Thats what us southerns say about the old school Clio's with 16v's - Strange how the term is meant differently around the county!

Really a GT28 is the route I want to go down, But for the mo VXR turbo route is going to be most sensible for 300bhp until I Forge it, But again i'll be doing the same, Buying a block then forging it and adding goodies then swaping over on a weekend.

Yeah its loverly - 220BHP - 240BHP Seems ample enough on FWD without a LSD if you want to gain traction through most gears if using as a fast road toy!

Yeah I want to keep it all sleeperish, I.e keeping the FMIC hidden etc, I'm more about suttle trick touches rather then all in your face, But indeed it does go pretty well - Had my first play the other night with a ClioSport 200 - And ended up pushing it along the road from a standstill and rolling start!

Yeah it is mate - Luckily got in contact with him, The build and conversion quality is second to none, Everything is like new and neat! - I hope to be running Astra VXR Turbo, Injectors and MAF for the start of next year, Then see how I feel with about 280bhp, I will in the future forge it with a GT28RS but by that time id have the Quaife diff fitted etc,

Been doing abit of tidying up on the wiring side of things, Also added a black oil fillter cap as I though the yellow always looked abit out of place!

Also managed to snap a bloody bolt holding the Engine mount to the Mount on the chassis leg which ended up having the engine sat on the chassis leg

Looks a lot better mate. I bought the txa manifold kit an I was the first person to snap the manifold. I needed a diff tho cos it jus wheel span everywere but when it was on boost an not spinning it was fast I used to beat lods of people an the noise was awesome.

Took the car for abit of Drag racing at a local Drag strip yesterday - Never done it before and it was a great test just to see what the Corsa could do...
Great day out - Managed to beat quite a few cars which I didnt exspect. MI16 205, 350z, RS Turbo's - My old Starlet which is 300bhp just had the upper hand on me.
Here are some times, Best I managed was a 14.08 in the wet and 1.60 60ft time which was quickest throughout the day.

I don't wish the be negative/critical, but a 1.6 60ft? I'd be checking the accuracy of the timing equipment. Unless you were running slicks.
