Apologies for this trivial question :
I'm reassembling the throttle body and need to reinstall the TPS. My workshop manual covers earlier cars and so I'm guessing that the installation instructions refer to a PF01 TPS.
Is the procedure for installing a PF09 TPS the same?
"... locate on shaft ... turn anticlockwise until spring pressure is felt. Tighten bolts without spring pressure being applied ..."

1. Fit the TPS to throttle body, and fit the electrical connector to the TPS (before you've bolted up the throttle body to the plenum, so you can easily get at the TPS if further adjustment is required).
2. Remove the main 35-terminal ECU connector cover (undo posidrive screw on the end and slide the cover off). Carefully refit the connector to the ECU.
3. Turn ignition to position 2.
4. Connect your multimeter negative probe to ECU connector terminal 1.
5. Connect your multimeter positive probe to ECU connector terminal 17.
6. Adjust the sensor to read <0.35 volts at idle.
7. Refit ECU connector cover and fit throttle body etc.

Just a thought - Is there a reason for measuring the voltage between terminal 17 and terminal 1 (earth) rather than between terminal 17 and terminal 11 (0v) ?
