ok today I am going to slap a deposit down on the new fiesta st but at 18k was just wondering is there a better car to be bought for the same money and has to be the same size etc as the fiesta.

Mate, why are you going to buy a new one ? The depreciation on that will be massive - complete waste of money. Buy an eighteen month old one, half the money. OK, not the latest car but so what ? You've saved Ł9k.

No brainer to me.

thats sound advise but waiting 18 months is too long, they are rated as the best car in their class by miles

wait a few months and get a few grand off, you should be able to get one in a few months for Ł14/16k

but if its something your going to keep for along time then go for it mate

Even if I had the cash I wouldn't buy a brand new car, waste of money. In my opinion anyway

The new Fiesta St is one of the best hot hatches out there - amazing car and one of the best I've driven. That was until I drove a Mini Cooper S Works GP the other day, which could have been the most fun I've ever had in car, so now my money would go there.

Any one with 18K cash wouldn't buy one no, but then any one buying an 18K Fiesta is obviously doing so on the drip.

I've not owned a car on finance my entire life, but if I were that way inclined... I'd still not chose the Fiesta lol
