I wont go into this too much, long of short is....

Bought my Mrs a 2007 Focus 2.0 TDCi convertable that had some running issues. It only has 25k from new & now runs well apart from a diesel leak from number 1 injector, the leak off pipe had split, well the plastic pipe that clips into the injector.

Went to Fords and brought a new leak off pipe (at the cost of £63!) & after i cleaned off the diesel & run the car it seemed fine.

Took it for an MOT & on the way back noticed smoke under the bonnet, when i checked i noticed that that the leak off pipe had popped off injector 1 again.

Ive checked the retaining clips & they appear to be fine.

Just wondered if anyone has had this problem before i go any furthur?

Also someone mentioned it could be a blocked injector, wasnt sure though as the car was running fine.

Any info would be good.

It'll be the clip. I always replace them.

Thought it was sorted, been fine for 2 days but just had a call from the wife to say its happened again.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this problem, we have the same model with exactly the same problem now. Various theories about why it pops the pipe out, did you find the solution for yours?

Any help appreciated, not sure where to go next.

Replaced the leak off pipes & clips & its been fine mate, a year & 5000 miles with no issues
