well im going to view a Chrysler ch 360 tomorrow.
me and the missus love muscle cars but neither of us want a lhd drive car, but there are a few Australian built muscle cars around.
its rough and needs a lot of work, wrong interior, needs full respray and no tax or test.
im trying to put a value on it but struggling ?

Looks a bit "bitty and nothing special"
I'd bite the bullet and get a left hooker as there are better looking motors about. There easy enough to drive and loads more on the market.

they are nice mate, looking at classics only and only a small budget.
lhd is not an option, also its on a budget aswell, criteria is rhd, v8, and has to have the look so to speak, which this does for me.
it does need a lot of work but im hopeing its not rotten and drivetrain will be ok. very rare to find these cars so hard to value, but ive got to put a price on it tomorrow somehow......

its worth whatever he can get for it - as you say its a rare car so that has to make it be worth a bit more, but then buyers of such rare cars are also rare - which devalues it..
id offer a fiver for it

1960s and early 1970s era, the mopar is 9.1 c/r aswell so will work well with a bit of boost if necasary or strokeable to 7 litre easily.
I don't want to miss an opportunity as original rhd early cars seem quite rare here but because there so rare very difficult to value like my Datsun was.
granted its classed as a luxury car but still a muscle car imo with a 360 hemi under the hood and the look/lines.

Muscle cars generally were performance models, not many four-doors were muscle cars - if any at all arguably.
That's just a V8 car with a 'baby' 360ci in it - around 5.8 litres.
As I say, cool car though! I'd have it.

oh fair enough im no expert mate, its an la 360 5.9 engine, 255 hp 360 lbft on a 2 barrel carb, a decent inlet and 4 barrel carb id hope would up that to nearer 300 hp.
I was gonna say thats not a hemi engine and as stared they only came in performance models and had it of been a hemi would of made a huge difference in price americans will pay top money for a hemi block alone let alone the whole engine as they are so rare to find!

granted its not a 2 door but that's the only thing imo, if the Chrysler was a 2 door it would be perfect but its not.
as for the ford falcon what you been smoking today ?! it looks far less of a muscle car than the Chrysler does, don't get me wrong I like the falcon but it just doesn't quite have the look were after.
this sold for Ł9000
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/plymouth-b...vip=true&rt=nc
5.9 v8 engine, auto trans. and although it looks tidy it was in need of a decent paint job, it was estimated as a Ł17000 car.
but Ł9000 is way above the budget ive allocated.
they used the la 360 ci engine in the 1970 barracuda aswell apparently.
im looking at valueing the Chrysler in at the Ł2k - Ł3k mark going from the info I can find so far.
im certainly not gonna be all (politically correct) with the car, we want a rhd 1960s or 1970s big v8, and that look like the chysler looks and the thumping soundtrack.

just a cheap project im looking at all work done in house total budget limit around Ł5000
make sure you bring a magnet with you, every muscle car ive been to look at has had filler on top of filler layed into rusty holes hence why i still dont have a muscle car, there really is an unbelievable amount of muscle cars out there full of filler

we are really looking for something that came v8 from the factory, ideally a 2 door a Chrysler charger or 1970 ford falcon would be ideal but its unlikely il find one within the budget, unlikely il even find one at all.
I got my torch with me with magnet base but for the budget im setting I gotta expect abit of filler
lol
main things I will be looking for will be floors, boot, sills and chassis im told its solid but just gotta check.
id prefer a 2 door martin but I fear even a rough 2 door will demand a big premium. I love the front end of the Chrysler it looks like an old dodge challenger, the rear and more door isn't as good but still acceptable, at least the rear doors will make it easier for little ones and theres bags of room back there for them aswell.
nothing is decided yet just gotta take a look tomorrow and go from there and put a price on it.

Go for it! Id go custom on the cockpit ,redo the seats, carpets, door cards the lot maybe electric windows big sound system ,then 4 barrel carb ported heads good headers and pipes the rest more or less leave as is .
4 barrel, edelbrook inlet, headers and a high power dizzy would make that fun to drive(ish)
Personally I would go mad max style with matt black body and ally panelled dash etc and nice set of rims.
It looks like a bit of lazy v8 rumble for fiesta money. It's no charger, challenger or impala but it wouldn't look out of place amongst them at a yank meet.

well the car is a very solid shell, floor pan and boot floor all solid no rust. engine bay and sills all solid, only slight bit of rust of a rear arch and sill area.
seemed to run and move ok with no noises or smoke, I got in a bidding war for it but won it on ebay for just over Ł3k so im happy.
the pics don't do it justice either imo il get some more up and a resto thread once I get it and get started, most importantly the missus loves it, hopefuly she will run this old beast at pod while im running the gtr
got a quick pic on my phone as I left

planning on picking up next sunday, I cant wait to start fiddling

chassis is amazingly good for 41 years old, and being 4 door much better for kids in the back theres bags of room.
aside from to many doors the lines are very similar to a dodge charger.
the pics in the add did it no justice at all.
it is rough but paint rough not rot rough.
thanks mate im glad im not the only one who likes it lol
it looks like a muscle car and has a 6 litre v8 under the bonnet, that's good enough for me.
Chrysler made the valiant pacer 4 door sedan only that had a 265 hemi in it, that was a sporting sedan but still 4 door, regardless im actually glad its a 4 door now as it will make a much better car as I have children.
