Default 2.0 tdci 2006 shudder in first and second gear at low revs

hello all

I'm having a small problem with my car atm.

When pulling away in first and also beginning of second gear the car seems to judder/shudder/wobble (all seem like a valid description lol)
Everything seems to be fine after 1400-1500ish rpm and all other gears are fine and still seems to accelerate like it should.

just thought I would pop on here and see if anyone has some ideas as to what it could be, before I take it to a garage and get a massive bill I cant afford atm lol

thanks for your time

regards, carl

Sounds plausible ?

To the OP, does it make a rattling slapping type noise when you start it up or switch it off ? You would also notice it if you allowed the car to labour a bit in second gear.

Thanks for reply guys, issue was a air leak in the fuel filter housing, was getting air in the lines, not much but enough to cause problems.
New filter and seal has sorted thing out and car is running like it should again.

Man do I love the torque, haha

Thanks again

Glad it's sorted Carl

I have a 2.0 tdci as my daily car and I love it, I was warned about the problem they suffer with the duel mass flywheel as I am told these are similar symptoms

Yours was defiantly an easy fix, great cars and yes the torque is fantastic
