On my mondeo tdci 130 ZS i have a straight through pipe in place of the back box .. as it fell off with abit of a lol

I was thinking decat but with all the is it illegal stuff deciding against.

So.. if i remove the mid box would it become loud or more responsive etc?

 

A de-cat is not illegal on any diesel car, only on cars subject to a full emissions test. So get one! Fitting a straight through pipe, but leaving the cat in place, is a bit pointless.

 

Just leave the mid-box on, its not restrictive, its "straight through"/ you could look straight through it, and fit a decat, you could sell your cat for more than the decat cost

The turbo itself cuts the noise down a bit but if you removed the mid box the "weee" spooldown sound you get when you change gear can be a bit loud
