Default Turbo Advice

I'm not interested in more power, what I am interested in is boost as low down as possible.

I never really take the car over 100mph (private track ) so top speed is the least of my concerns.

At the moment my setup is

SCS chip
Siemens 55lb injectors
Kent AB07 inlet cam
T34.63
-34 actuator
4x4 inlet manifold
2wd exhaust manifold
044 pump
Filter
3" exhaust system
500 cooler

I always seem to get caught waiting for the turbo

So I wanted to ask which turbo would benefit me and be as lag free as possible?

GT28?

Cheers billy

a t3 does well for response on a yb loads of low end punch at the expense of top end grunt iirc i ran 22 psi tailing to 15 psi top revs.

its t25 flange but thats no biggie, borg warner efr internal gated for ease of fitment for quick spool and upto 350 - 375 hp

has 3" v band for downpipe so easy to just change flange on the exhaust.

why not try NOS? It can be set in a variety of ways and come in instantly and or progessively. It can be used to give virtually no lag at all. Fantastic for a killer overtake!

I have to say one of my best setups was when i ran my Stage 2 TT T3 with the NMS Gunship live map, car made 310 bhp and 356ft/lb, yes on a T3, this setup is superb, Chris aka Brammer will tell you how impressive it was has he commented on it when we were going to Pod 3 yes ago.

Other than that T34.48, awesome road car when live mapped.

Might look into a .48 then. Should I change to a -31 actuator at the same time?

No point changing actuator, 48 housing a good idea and should bring boost on 300-500 rpm earlier.

Cheers, Tim.

It would if you going 100% throttle below threshold and expecting the turbo to whip round to full boost and send you barrelling down the road.

Just curious, at present where does it start making boost and when does it make full boost?
