Ideally I would also like to have a visual guage but not sure if this will need an additional sensor, mosule unit etc, been looking at aem and inovate and they seen around the same price

Yep, they feed the gauge and give you an ecu output. I used the non digital faced one as it was more in keeping for my dash and personally I found it easier to read.

Use the Aem uego Raj, very accurate and reliable.

There is a 5 volt output which you wire to the ms lambda input

Sounds good mate and yes that's the exact one we use on most cars. Good price from them too!

I will get a pic tonight and the instructions for you mate. I used the black face ( for a sierra) and the backlight choice of colours are great, and I wired it so it dims with the dash adjuster to.

well, i've used two with the ms, vems cost about £300 with egt probe, the second was an MTX from innovate.
the MTX was about £150, i only used it for a short time but was pretty good, compact and piss easy to fit.
setting up for wideband output to megasquirt was simples too.
the Vems i had been using for years without any issues, only got the mtx when i had an electrical gremlin after alternator failed and caused mis readings, was just a shitty earth in the end
