Default Mk1 Focus front fog light removal

Tried to take the ones out of my daughters car to clean them out, as going white inside. Undid the clip and unplugged the cable, but it gets jammed in the grill with the aim adjuster. Is there a knack, as the poor haynes manual just says remove it . Do i need to take the lower grill out and if so, how? Cheers

Managed to sort this . You need to pull the lower grill out to give you space and then on the outside edge of the light is a knuckle pivot for the aim adjuster to work and you push it towards the grill to un locate it. Then it should come out. Bloody fiddly job just to clean the lenses out. Look nice and silver and clean now. Now I know when i see cars with broken ones, why they dont want to change them !!

No worries Lee. They were a git to get to, with the a/c pipes behind the drivers side and the horns bolted to the passenger side. Almost need double jointed wrists. Now got a sticky starter motor to contend with..........aarrggghhhhhhh
