They were done by the previous owner not much welding left to do on the car really, front end and the rear panel behind the bumper, arches and wheels tubs and a bit on the floor
Ordered new full sills, mk1 top and bottom slam panels and radiator mounts, inner wheel arches and have to make the rest of the wheel tubs as cant find them online or at my local panel place
Been told they wont fit The estate has a couple bracket mountings for the seats. They may well fit but its a lot of money to fork out then turns out they dont. Cheers though
Also the rear valance panel seems to be impossible to source other than one ford part on ebay for £100, is this a good price for this part?

wish i still had my mk2 estate!! you can get the rear valence panel from that steel panels site, they do a few mk1/2 estate bits, not cheap by far tho! keep it up dude, be well worth it
At the risk of appearing thick, how is it a T reg mk1?
Or, did Ford use mk1 fronts on mk2 estates, like VW used mk1 shells on mk2 Golf cabrio's?
No its a mk2 but im putting a mk1 front on it because i prefer that look, everything from the doors back is mk1 anyway its just a case of getting the front to fit properly

I've shared pics of my 1974 'Mexico' Mk 1 before. I bought it in 1980 (second owner) as a parts-runner. It was 50,000 and purple velvet. It got crunched in the side so got it back from the insurers and rebuilt it using new Mexico wings and complete running gear plus new wheels. Used it until 1993 (up to about 110k on the clock) and then after a few years in store sold it for £400. Would be worth a bit more now. It had been Ziebartted from new so very solid, original arches etc.
