Exclamation Issue with moving off. KA but need advice from anyone with experience.,

Hi all, this is my first post, hope I am doing this right!
My KA is on around 51500 miles and I have recently had a new steering rack fitted, seems alot of things is going wrong! Anyone else find the same with theirs?
Anyhow, the issue that has come around the past few days is that when I come to move off in first gear, the car will hardly move, no matter how many revs are being used. It is quite frankly embarrassing, as it just looks like I cannot drive for the life of me.

This doesn't happen all of the time but is starting to become more frequent and in the most awkward of places! It is fine in 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc. Just seems to be when I am using the clutch in 1st.

Does anybody know what the issue could be? I am planning on taking it to a garage but I have already forked out nearly the same price as the vehicle on repairs! Just wanted to know if anybody has an idea what it sounds like/has experienced the same in their KA?

Thank you all in advance.

I wouldn't say it isn't going anywhere but it's stupidly slow.
