Default Mods deleting peoples post on the sly......

Right even tho i may have broken a rle and i accept that, and have said so in my other topic, it is a tad annoying that mods can just delete your post and not say why, who did it.......?

i think that if you are gona do it atleast for the sake of maners FFS say why and who did it......

This may not be a popular reply but IMO when its a serious offence that can cause us serious trouble such as actually naming software that your stealing via Kazza etc, i personally dont think the mods should have to spend any more of thier time on the issue than they did deleting it TBH as you shoudl allready fully understand where it went without needing to be told or to ask.

Surely you can understand that?

No did i ask for that?

All you could do is post a reply saying that it has been deleted......and delete my original text.....Rather then just outright removing it as it wasnt a problem in the heading.......And nobody having a clue why...I did then post this topic and no reply for a good 5 mins, yet who ever it was delted the original withing 30 seconds....

Yes stu i can understand the reason it was deleted, as said in previous post i didnt actually think i was doing anything wrong as i did look in the search at all the 40+ post which name songs that have been downloaded amongst other things, and natrually thought that it would be fine....

I was corrected and that i accept its just the way in which it is done that has wound me up....

The mods of this board arnt above anyone else and should still extend some courtesy to others and not just look apon me as "ow yet another person question us"

it just fookin manners Stu.

Why should they have to?
The rules are there for all to see... its not the webteam thats in the wrong here no matter how its polished up.....

I dont see anyone taking teh time to reply to the "cease and desist" order i have here from a "major" software suppliers solicitors about piracy on PassionFord Forums..... i guess thats just my hard luck and cash down the drain too eh?

Seems we are both clean out of luck so far as piracy goes i guess......

this sort of post happens alot tbh, whilst i can totally understand and fully appriciate what the mods do, (and i wouldnt want to do their job,) would it not be possible to have an automated PM or reply just so that the topic starter knows he/she has infringed or broken a rule but gets the automated PM to tell em? thatway you stop posts like this and also when mods do PM with "I delted your post" they wont be in the wrong then either, as most times its a now win situation for mods,

Stu they dont have to, but dont you think that for the sake of manners a note to say" sorry m8 cant have that on here i have deleted it, if yu would like to know why in more depth then look here.....etc" I have already admitted to being in the wrong over what i posted and im not trying to lay blame with any mod....

As for the Cease and desist" order you have, i know nothing about what it means or what it it envolves so i wouldnt like to coment.

Im not out of luck as far as piracy goes as im sure i will get an answer to what i want.

JoeRST, im sure you can understand that with 10,000+ members and the amount of traffic and new post that passionford gets everyday its hard to send a PM to everyone when you move/edit/delete there topics.

To solve this why not get Pet to put some code into PF that when a mod presses delete or move on a topic, they have a 'quick reply' style box which sends a PM to the topic starter?

Would be easy to send a PM to the person then

Its all good here, but serious Stu maybe an automated PM system tht can just let people know why.....I know people should know the rules, but i doubt they do, as i obviously didnt.....

Im not worried bout stu wanting to hug you, its just he wanted both of us at the same time...

stu - glad i aint the only one who got a cease and deceased order then - had one from infomedia International a while ago - they are the people who produce Microcat and own all the copyrights etc within it - got a royal fooking for "helping" someone out and basically was told to give up or i'd be sued.

needles to say after one apologetic phonecall at 3am GMT to some woman in australia, the order was upheld and no further action against me was taken
