Default WHAT IS THE MOST BHP YOU CAN GET ON STD ERST INJECTORS??

As above i'm cosidering going for cosworth management and i'm hoping for 230 to 240 bhp however am i wasting my time doing this if the std injectors will flow enough fuel to run this kind of power figure without all the hassle.i also dont want to go down the avenue of using a 5th injector.........

1) also what are the benifits of cosworth management ?

2) is a cosworth fuel pump any help to getting more bhp out of the std injectors?

cheers ppl

Cosworth fuel pump is the same as the erst!

I take it you are doing an EFI conversion?? Otherwise I dn't think you can change the injectors.

I say stick to std MFI setup and rebuild the engine and put on 5th injector - you can just about get this power but will def need a rebuild with lots of extras for it

Check the site of Norris Motorsport.

www.norrismotorsport.co.uk

You may find a very understandable explanation of several tuning stages for CVH engines, including an explanation about the max on standard injectors and 5th injector.

Cheers.

212@wheels was the max I had on standard injectors...good enough for a sub 14second qtr...knowing that KE was on its limits at this sort of power I decided it safer to alow aftermarket management and custom map to manage things.

Well if thats the case, that way more than i plan to run so thats great as i only want 230 to 240 @ the flywheel which is about 180 to 190 @ wheels otherwise i'm going to have to dig deep and get a quaife box or similar..............

Yup! KE Fuel mod and 5th Injector I've seen 220@wheels. So there is 250bhp there easy.

The reason i dont like 5th injectors is because of the all or nothing effect of them they kick in rich then lean off at top end, well from what i've seen of them any way?
hence the reason i was going to go for cosworth managment more control (hopefully?)

thats what i herd some where .............. but question is are they a higher fuel pressure or do they flow more volume of fuel per min????

Heres another one for you.

If you can get 212 at the wheels around 240 at the flywheel on std injectors and greens are also well suited for that level of brake horsepower doesnt that make the std erst injectors have nearly the same flow rate as a 803........
thats bloody big mista.................well considering they were fitted to a 130bhp 1.6

The limit of RST injectors is the metering unit, not the injectors themselves. I had 250 @ Fly on 4 injectors with 24psi held, but had crap fuel ecomony. But then, I didn't care lol.
