I had few people ask how big the Focus/Fiesta community is here in The States in my introduction thread so I figured I would start a picture thread of US cars.

We got a few different Focus models than you guys got so I'll go over those and how they were different from European models before I post pictures of modded cars.

MK1 2000-2004 (3dr hatch, sedan, wagon and 5dr hatch starting in 03) - Different bumper covers and the interior was slightly different.


MK1 SVT 2002-2004 (3dr hatch, 5dr hatch for 03-04) Same as the ST170 with different exterior. Same interior options.


MK1 US Facelift 2005-2007. Font end and interior changes.



05 ST



05-07 SAP package





Here is where the big differences start. We didn't get the MK2 in The US.

Second Generation 2008-2011 (Sedan and coupe)



MK3 2012- We got a few minor exterior changes and we don't get the wagon.


Onward to the goods! We like Euro parts by the way.

The motor is out of a Contour SVT. Same thing as the Mondeo ST200.

 

I wonder what it goes like with the engine fitted.I hope its not too heavy on the front end.

I've an ST170, which as you say is called the SVT ? I also understand in the USA they do turbo kits for them ? is that true ?

 

Some very nice examples there. Must admit the european front end is nicer than the front end they got in america, but then you have V8 transplants, so I think you win overall.

Do you mean modifications? Or the styling the gave them from the factory with the big bumpers and stuff?

 

There are turbo and pro charger kits made for them here. A supercharger kit was available thru Ford Racing but was discontinued a few years back. With our emissions law, we got different ECUs and there has been trouble with tuning for turbo kits.

That is a Focus! We never got the MK2s in The US. In 05 our MK1s got a facelift and for 08-11 we got the 2nd generation Focus.
