Default Rwd r1 mini

Hi i've been thinking about selling my r1 mini as I haven't used it much and as fun as it is to drive its just not really me. I've always had fords lol.
It's a z cars kit, rear mounted in a 1989 de-seamed shell.
Resprayed in Renault liquid yellow (not the best if I'm honest as its slightly different shades on doors) but does look nice.
The car has an r1 2003 injection engine 170bhp (approx 10,000 miles) mounted in the rear with sequential 6 speed gearbox with reverse being dealt with by a large starter motor which is switch operated on the dash.
Just had brand new complete clutch kit fitted.
Brake wise it has vented discs with ap 4pot callipers and cosworth callipers on the rear with Goodrich hoses all round.
Coil overs all round, alloy fuel tank up front.
Throttle is on a cable and has hydraulic clutch making it easy to drive.
Has tax and mot till aug 2013.
Interior wise it has bucket seats with harnesses, roll cage and fibreglass dash.
Spa digital speedo.
Carpeted and sound deadened throughout. It is fairly loud in the cabin but not unbearable.
8x13" minilite alloys with good tyres.
It is very quick with a 0-60 of around 4 secs.
It does need a few small thing sorting like the cv boot is split, fuel gauge doesn't work and bodywork/paintwork to make it mint as it has a few rust bubbles appearing around screen and under headlight.
I would be looking at around £9000 now reduced to £8500 open to offers.
Any questions please call 07841375109 and I will try and help.
Ideally looking for a cash sale but I do like mk1/mk2 escorts, 3dr cossies so could be interested in a p/x
Located in Warwickshire.
Thanks Karl.

Cheers fellas.
It is fun especially with the sequential gearbox.
Yeah the paintwork does let it down a little at the moment but it does still look good.
Always gets comments when I'm out in it especially at petrol stations when I'm filling it under the bonnet lol

Cheers.
Yeah it does sound awesome and that's usually one of the comments I get.
I was out in it last night and pulled up at the traffic lights and a couple of fellas were saying how good it looks and sounds.
Sorry I don't have any vids of it.

I'm quite surprised no one has wanted to come and have a look at this
So maybe a reduction in price could tempt someone. £8500 open to offers or p/x

eBay is terrible just now for bike powered mini's there are that many up for sale. My R1 mini cost the guy £20k to build and half the shite on eBay are just chucked together! Yours is built with all the right bits and is worth £9k with the paint fixed IMO or £8.5k how it is. Stick with it mate dont get rid of it for pennies

Cheers mate, yeah I thought it was priced well considering what it costs to build one and like you say mine has all the right bits but is let down a bit with the paintwork.
Ironically since putting it up for sale i seem to be using it quite a lot and you know what I think I'll miss it if it sells as its a fun little car, crazy but fun lol.
It will sell to the right person I suppose.

I think you need to give a lot more detail about the car to show its not just a thrown together one to justify the cost, put up build photos and more info IMHO.

People looking to buy something like this seriously will take the time to read it all in detail, so you need to take the time to write an advert properly.

I can see your point but surely if someone is interested then they would phone and ask questions like a few have and come look at the car.
I didn't build the car.
ive just had a few jobs done to it like the clutch, sound deadening, carpet speedo etc.
I can take more pics of areas if required and I've only just started using the car more so its still all new to me.
The only real reason I've thought about selling it, is once my 3dr's finished I just really can't se me using it at all.
