Default Starting Problem Now Fixed - Now Car Isn't Running Right :(

Hi,

I have had the starting problem fixed on my car, it was the fuel pump not working because the fusebox was knackered. Now the car isn't running right . It is ticking over lower than it used to, not running as much boost and there sounds like a hissing noise from near where the dump valve is but it isnt the dump valve and all the hoses seem on ok? Does anyone know what this could be? All I have had done is had the fuel pump wired to the ignition and now this problem has come up?

Thanks a lot
Dan

Hi,

The lad who fixed it had to take the cover off to get to the spark plug lead and it sounds like the hissing noise is coming from that area, is there anything around there that could be leaking air and making it not run right/boost as much?

Thanks again,
Dan

Just had another look before and it def sounds like the hissing is coming from around the injector area or could be under the cover you take off to get to the spark plugs

Ok guys,

Just had a quick look on my dinner and I can def hear a hissing noise from
around the injector area. Apart from the boost hose what else is there
around that area that could be causing an air leak and the car not to boost
properly.

Any help really appreciated

Dan

sounds like an air leak.......

Serioulsy i used to spray a lil dw40 toward the are you think that the air leak is coming from, if the rev problem corrects its self then you know where to go...

Thing is wd40 is flameable, but i have never had any problems.....That was my disclaimer
