Hi all. my wheels need a refurb so I gave them one coat of vw reflex silver to see how they look, I'm not 100 percent liking it to be honest, weird thing is in the flesh they are a bit lighter than in the pics



What's your opinions ?

 

that looks in the picture quite a lot darker than my vw passat b5 that was reflex silver.

Yea I agree, I've seen a few vw's in silver on the road and they appear a lot brighter than this. Here's another pic from a different angle

 

Think they look fine mate, be nice to see a full pic without the tyre tape

Regardless as to whether it looks like the colour it should be, they still look good

 

Think they look quite good! Did you lacquer them? Should brighten the paint up a bit.

 

They look grey plus I'm not a fan of those alloys.

iv got a vw golf reflex silver trust me that aint reflex silver lol but regardless they look good.

 

Thanks guys, I'll get some more pics Sunday. They are superleggera yes. Only the one coat I did and no lacquer just to have a rough idea. Also the colour I used is VW reflex silver, here's a pic of the stuff I bought , as I said its somewhat lighter in the flesh

 

Right I've managed to finish a wheel today , and tbh it looks much better now its all lacquered and the new centre cap and dust cap are fitted.

Here with a few coats, looks dark again
