Kelly was loving it she never done 1/4 mile before! Saturday we went to the airfield to have a practice lol it paid off though, first ever run launched perfectly and ran 15.9 86mph and lifted off the throttle before the line I then tried a run in the focus and ran 16.1 89mph. Looking at the time sheets she was 2-3mph up on me at every split! If she hadn't backed off I reckon she would of been 92-3mph and 15.6-7

The frs is standard bar a mongoose exhaust and panel filter so think that's a reasonable time. Kelly now wants to get a decat and bluefin before classic ford and try again

I ran 13.1 @ 111mph in the saff which wasn't too bad considering i was doing 2.5sec 60ft times Will be looking for 12's at classic ford

 

Doesn't sound right I don't think mate because my MK1 Focus 1.8 RR'd at 145bhp and 127ft.lbs of torque pulled a 16.1 @ 89mph. Also I know ST170s pull in roughly around 15.8-15.9 sec quarters so I'd say either there is something up with the RS and it is producing nowhere near 212bhp or the power is all being spun away.

 

I did spin off the line but it has a problem with the boost. I've been told it could be a weak actuator or faulty standard dumpvalve. When it gets warm it won't hold the boost

 

I think ford quoted about 14.8 for standard car and we had head wind Sunday so don't think it was too bad

 

Ahh right that would explain it then mate. On that basis it seems it is only producing 180ish bhp then when not boosting properly. I would have definitely expected mid-low 15s from a standard FRS.

 

It'll have a forge actuator, recirc dumpvalve and bluefin in the next couple of weeks I told Kelly I expect mid-low 14's at classicford lol

 

Should definitely go a lot better and hold boost well with that lot

 

Can't wait for classic ford show I be able to rub my on the strip billy boy like the good old days side by side 4wd against 2wd lol
