Default Mondeo TDDI egr to intercooler pipe

hi there

im struggling to find the correct size egr to intercooler pipe

i got one from an identical mondy and its too small

ford tell me i would have to replace a ton of pipework to fit it and they dont make them for my engine now

something about being on the crossover for engines

i should say its a 2.0 tddi on a 51 plate

any ideas where to get one?

There are a couple of different types, some have egrs at the front, some like mine are at the back. Get on eBay and send a message to mondeo spares, should be able to help you!

The pipe that connects from the egr area to the intercooler

It is the same diameter all way down

Just an update as it seems this particular pipe stumps a lot of people

Been to ford again. Because my ca was reg before July 2001, the pipe I need also needs to e replaced along with an intercooler pipe

Both pipes have cost just shy of £150

Just replace the originals with silicone pipes/ alloy or steel tubes bought online

right just been to ford to pick up my new pipework

not sure how it will fit but i digress

I have gotten a small ish silicone hose and a new connector that runs to the egr and the then the small hose attaches to that and the whole lot attaches to the intercooler

does this resonate with anyone?

finally sorted!!

for anyone with a pre july 2001 DI, this may come in useful

i had to replace the pipe that runs from the egr valve. this has a completely new metal tube piece with one smaller hose that needs attaching going into the inlet manifold which replaces the larger original hose

finally you need the hose from a tdci model to go onto the bottom of the new egr pipe metal piece housing then onto the plastic intercooler pipe thus meaning 3 pipes to replace one

happy days
