Sorry to sound daft but what are these like on fuel consumption and all round general maintenance? Got number 2 on the way so i'm on the look out for a bigger car and would like to come back to a ford.

They are not too bad for a 2.5v6 I average 20mpg around town and about 35 - 40mpg on the motorway. But if you put your foot down be prepared to see the trip computer flash up with 6mpg.

But if you put a stainless exhaust on you will get a awesome noise from the v6.

If I were you I'd go for the one advertised here as that's a good price for an st200 ready to go

Thanks Stu, yes it is still for sale, been on ebay a couple of times, but all time wasters, or want to swap for something not of the same condition as the ST (call us picky!)

We need something more suitable for towing, don't want to chop the bumper for a tow bar. I was pleasantly surprised with the fuel consumption, I thought it would be awful I'm getting circa 20mpg at least
