focus 2002 tdci removing gearbox help

Default focus 2002 tdci removing gearbox help

ive got to put a new box in my focus. Does any one no if you have to drop the sub frame or not?. and anything i should watch out when doing it thanks

Subframe can stay in. Careful letting the engine droop to far on the mounts and splitting a boost hose

ok thanks for that might just take boost hose off then just incase

When you drop the box I would put a jack and a piece of wood under to support the engine, you do have to strip quite a bit out in order to get proper access to the box but as said you don't have to have he sub frame out.

I've got some pics of when I helped my mate do a flywheel and clutch change on mine, I'll try and get a few posted to give you an idea of what we had out.
