Hi just got a mk4 escort combi van with rs2000 mk5 engine, how can i connect the mk4 revcounter to the ecu

 

I don't think you can mate I might be wrong, I've just put a rs2000 in my mk3 but I will need an aftermarket rev counter. Is yours the one that was on eBay?

 

Oh and the rev counter wire is green from my engine bay wiring on the rs loom

yer its no to bad needs some love in fue areas which gona get it up togeather

yer it goes ok with it im contemplating turbo charging it

 

Yeah I thought about that for mine. Not sure what I would need tho

 

i have a rs focus engine so either thinking about using that or turbo the 2000 engine

but need after market ecu i have spare pistons out of focus rs so maybe use them

but to turbo it it you need pistons rods
turbo and manifold
intercooler and pipe adaptors and some way of getting oil back into the block

on zetecs its easy done it cuiple times n rs2000 engine never tried but i no a man that has done it

so wait and see hw i feel after its been round nurberg ring
