Right, im guessing my rs is running about 190bhp. Ive seen a rolling road chart & it had 180bhp, but was advised to fit samco's & the actuator was weak, but ive changed all that. Mod's - pipercross airfilter, scorpion exhaust, chipped, samco's & boost @ 18psi, but doesnt the bhp sound high just for those simple mods. There wouldnt be any internal work to get that bhp would there?? I havent a clue about the history, thats why im asking.

 

Sounds about right for an engine on standard internals assuming you have a bigger intercooler there aswell?

 

It does sound high for those mods, but then a lot of people wouldnt run 18psi on a standard cooler !!!! As the boost is so high it may have 180bhp but not for long, if you get my drift Get a good intercooler on there and a cam then it will be around 200bhp, a stage 2 turbo would benefit you as well !

As for the internals, nothing really increases the power, people fit forged pistons and steel rods for reliability, theres only so far you can push standard stuff !

Yes. it has a standard cooler. That might exlain why my turbo's starting to smoke when cold. Stage 2 turbo. Whats the price tag on one of them. What boost do you surgest wiv those mods??

 

Sounds right - but u wont make that power for long, as in 18psi, the igntion will retard and u'll lose power. Smoking turbi is nothing to do with intercooler.

 

Yeah, what i meant was, maybe i was putting to much strain on the turbo. Soz, still learning about the turbs. Would ypu say 15 psi will be safe enough??
