Default Sony head unit issues

Hey guys i just bought a 2002 mondeo tdci and decided to change the stereo. I installed a sony head unit and connected all wires. Amd changed the 7.5 fuse to a 20 amp. But it wont turn on. The head unit work when i put the wires directly onto the battery.
Whats gone wrong or what do i need to do?

Thankyou in advance

Every fuse has been checked and they are fine. The stereo fuse is the same as the instrament cluster and thats all lit up.
Would it be easier to just wire it straight from the battery?

my other car wont let me do that as ecu knows currents being drawn,& causes probs. Yours might tho. try it,but be sure to put an inline fuse on the line.curious to know if it works ,let me know if u do try it mate.
ah hold on,on some cars the fuse panels have a little shunt clip thing, that lets you turn radio from "ignition on" power to radio,or when u move the clip,u then have option of permenant radio power.again, dunno if ford have this.some1 must know here
