ive just seen some st standard xenon headlights with ballasts for sale and im tempted to get them but im not sure if they will work on a standard mk2 focus with it not having self levelling, has anyone fitted these in a non st or know someone who has?
dont want to buy them blind and waste my cash on them

 

I'm pretty sure the wiring plugs are different, the ST lights are bi-xenon, along with the normal high beam bulb they also have a little shade that drops down over the xenon bulb when you select main beam so it aims the beam higher. Not too sure if this is controlled within the headlight or seperately etc.

 

For the mot you will need from headlight washer jets too.

 

from what ive found out if i have 10 wires on the plug that connects to the headlight will work fine, but im not sure about the levelling as st's are self levelling so i dont know if the level adjuster in my car will work, i will take them out for the mot but i dont want to fit them if i cant adjust them, its an expensive mistake if i buy them and they dont adjust.
