no alternative, your best bet is to look for someone breaking an es cos but be prepared to pay at least Ł120+ or even more for a mint one,there was one sold on ebay the other week but it wasnt that clever and it went for Ł150

Im having the same issue, been looking for a replacement clock for months,
My display has went mostly black like a knackerd calculator screen! But apparently you can get the small screens replaced, so im looking into this option, will post up if i find anything out!

 

if you just need to replace the screen you need a normal mk5 escort clock to rob the screen from,these are getting hard to find as well though

 

i saw one on ebay the other week but it was at Ł150 with days to go,
