csmbelt or camchain

Hi all
I have just bought a ford focus.2001 1.8 ghia.does it have a cambelt or a camchain?
Totally clueless as to one or the other.thanks paul.

I believe the early focus was cambelt

Defo cam belt the 1.25/1.4 and the 1.6 16v engines the belts are the same.

The 1.8 and the 2ltr 16v belts are the same.

if its a 1.8 petrol then yes a belt
if its a 1.8 diesel then it has a belt and a chain
