Unique (I think) brake upgrade for my saph
Had an idea for a brake upgrade a while back that id not seen on a sierra before, for my 24v saph, so I've been tinkering this week and it seems to be effective and much cheaper (and bigger) than cosworth ones.

Well I knew they had been fitted to fiestas pumas kas, I actually had them for my old mk2 mondeo, figured it wouldn't take to much to get them on. Havnt tried them out yet as the engine still isn't back in yet. But should be effective on a budget
You need a spacer between the hub and carrier and some longer high tensile bolts as the standard mondeo ones arnt long enough, the 2 spacers (one for each bolt) need to be 13.4mm thick

I had a mk3 Mongayo year before last, scrapped it and had the calipers re-conned for about£100, spent another £100 on 300mm discs & pads then decided to shelve it all.
You rebuilt your 24v?

and i've got a few spare sierra hubs knocking about and i tested them first to make sure they would fit
and they did
the only difference is that the hole in the hub where the brake caliper bracket bolts go through are 12mm and not 10mm and the heads on the bolts are 15mm and not 17mm
but if you get the calipers from a mondeo you will also want to keep the bolts so no dramas there
the spacer on the wheel is because the offsets on the later fords is way way different to the earlier ones
bastard facebook links don't work
I had a set of calipers lying around to fit my sapph, but they didn't fit inside the 15" cossie wheels. So I ended up selling them as I wasn't planning on changing the wheels for those brakes.
Marty fitted them to his 2.3 16v 4x4 1 or 2 years ago I believe. It should be somewhere on the FSOC forum, I remember as I provided him with the info about the spacers he would need between the hubs and the calipers.
