Default cleaning box sections ready for waxoyl

Hi all, need to waxoyl the work I have done on my car so far and was wondering how I should go about cleaning the mud out of box sections before I spray the waxoyl gunk in there? Any ideas, as it is loose, but I dont wanna stick a hose down there. A brush on a stick? Or has anyone done this before and has any good methods.

i would have stuck a hose down there and dry it out afterwards, that should get the crap out of it.
