Hi,
I have 53 ford fiesta, this morning i started it just to warm the engine and check my lights etc and it run for a while, and i mistakenly fully matched down the accelerator as i was testing the brake. after a while the engine stalled for about a minute or two and then went off, and now it wouldn't start again.
can someone give me an idea what could have gone wrong or what i should check or do pls.

Sorry bit confused with what happened. Did you fully depress the accelerator instead of the brake? So did the engine redline or not?

If not it sound like you've just flooded it tbh.

The worst you could have done is hit the "redline", as your car is modern the strategy for this should be so it cuts fueling, spark etc to certain cylinders to reduce the engine speed, I doubt it cuts the engine, so this may be something else.
