Hi all,

Is it normal not to have boost until 5000rpm in First? When I change to second the boost starts building at 2800rpm and is fine!
Has it something to do with loading of the engine?
Also I am looking for a new actuator as I found that mine was creeping, (bolted wastegate shut and found boost came in 200rpm earlier)
What actuator would you recomend to run 25psi? I have no amal valve so this figure needs to be controled machanically via actuator spring.
I looked at the 34 actuator but it says it starts to open at 14 odd psi, can this be increased by putting more preload on spring?

Split dump valve diaphram ?

 

Surely split dv diapham would effect boost in all gears?

I'd say its because the engine isn't under enough load to make the boost.
