headlights not workin

Default headlights not workin

hi every1 i have recently had engine bay painted on my 2wd saff an now when i put head lights on side lights the dip beam comes on as well not very well an when put them on too dip beam it makes no difference an no full beam. Also when turn lights on the heated window turns on too. Also things like clock an the warning panel (The car pictures that tells you when door open etc) dont work have checked an rechecked earths in engine bay etc any suggestions? cheers p.s any 1 direct me too a link of fuse box wiring diagram cheers

Can some list all the earth points in the engine bay incase I missed 1 I have the 1 in front if battery the 1 each side behind the headlight any more? Thsnks

The one you mention will be the one for the lights, what it is is where it's been those earth connections are no longer making good contact, it's worth removing them and making sure you can see bare unpainted metal, you most likely have paint underneath them?

no i have cleared all the paint off its definatly more then earths cheers

Take the neg directly to batt terminal, buy a clamp metre.

It would appear that somekind of earth leakage, on ships one would use a insulated return which totally isolates one system from another.
You have a feed and as a result a return! you need to isolate each individual item-ie lights/Stereo/alarm/abs etc with ecu)(provided engines runs well negating issue . only by process of ellimination will reveal.

Did you take the dash out at all? When I rebuilt mine I had exactly the same problem. It was the module for the warning panel wasn't connected properly

that sounds promising mate as my warnin panel isnt working at moment an dash is out as tryin too sort lights cheers

any other ideas as tried that on got warning panel working now but lights still faulty
