Default Escort van conversion

I'm thinking of doing a conversion and would like some advice if at all possible. Would a ford escort rs 2000 4x4 running gear swap over onto a escort van and helpful advice would be great many thanks paul

you will prob need a tunnel mate for 4x4 gear it can be done.

i disagree with you there, a pal of mine is doin this atm using a
capri rear axle and standard tunnel,

not sure what diff ratio hes goin for tho, it can be done simply

ive not seen it done with the 4x4 beam tho???

I think the 4x4 would be problematic, however the 2wd system should work and has worked in the past, it all depends on what depth you want to go from, eg fabricating certain aspects etc.
