Default Buying tyres, where from?

I'm after a pair of 285 30 18s probably stick with continentals as that's what's on the front already,

Anywhere good on prices?
I've tried camskill and black circles,
Just thought I'd ask I case anyone knows somewhere really good

And now ill get no replays as someone has moved this into a room nobody looks at, even though I wanted to generally discuss tyres which are car related.

Thanks, as I was after some quick replies so I could make an order tonight.

Would whoever moved it like me to also show them links to several other threads in gd that should be elsewhere? As I've just counted at least 3 but they are still in there?

Focus room?

Sierra cosworth?

James, give www.mytyres.co.uk a try. They always seem to have lots to choose from.

One since it was moved

Why haven't the others been moved when they " all naturally fit into another category" ?

Infact most things in general car related discussion can be moved into other rooms, as this is a ford forum so people will naturally want to talk about their cars, all of which have dedicated rooms do they not?
So if we cant generally discuss anything that doesn't have it's own room we may as well bin gd?

look at how many people are viewing the thread aswell!!

If we left every thread in GD then it would quickly become very clogged up hence why we have different sections for more specific threads.

So why haven't the others been moved?
The titles of them give away exactly what they are about?

We dont see every thread and theyre moved our discretion.

I just happened to see this thread which was purely about tyre choice and moved it to the appropriate section.

as far as i can see its still getting plenty of views so im sure you will still get the advice youre asking for.

I think the name general car related discussion is a little misleading if you are not allowed to talk about things that are car related, especially when most things in gd will fit into another category as they are about cars, most of which fords, as this is a ford forum, which have dedicated rooms,

yes but you cant just post anything in GD just because you want a fast reply

I agree both the GD categories basically cover absolutely everything so we have to try and decide which topics are very specific and will fit better into another section.

Its more about trying to use all the sections on the board rather then piss people off otherwise whats the point of all the other sections?

Surely though, if a link is there it takes up just as much room on the gd room as if it was in there anyway?

yes but it will expire in 2 hours and at least it will direct those who might not have known we have a specific Wheels and Tyres room.

I always use the new posts button anyway. Ill look at a thread regardless of what room it's in.

Any pics of this porker then James?

lol after all this........

I shall definately leave this one in here mate as maybe it might help someone else find some tyres for a decent price and thats another benefit of the thread being in here as in GD it would just disappear but in this section they will still be able to find it
