Thinking about selling my Skoda Octavia VRS, details below

Its a 2005, 55 plate in magic black, its the last registered mk1 shape and its had 3 previous owners, normal extras on the vehicle, 4xelectric windows & mirrors, remote central locking, air con (which works). Also has a 6 cd changer in the boot. I have 2 keys present with the car, although the spare keys needs a battery. Included in the sale is my parrot hands free kit.

The bodywork is in extreamly good condition as is the interior, ideally it will need a new drivers floor mat as its seen better days. There is no nasty dents or scratches to speak of.

Its had new discs and pads on the front, with the front pads being EBC red stuff ceramic pads, 4 excellent tyres all round, the front 2 being continental sport contact.

mechanically the car is in great order all round, the previous owner fitted a new clutch & cambelt and carried out a service, although i cannot prove this as i have no receipt, but i have no reason to doubt it as the clutch feels great with the biting point right where it should be. He also fitted the new discs & pads and obviously you can see them and this backs up what he has said. I put a new battery on it when i first got the car. its has a good service history record as follows & various receipts for work & parts bought through the years. The car has no oil leaks and drivers superb, pulls very well as it should through all the gears.

The MOT is due at the end of June 2013, its passed its mot last time and the only advisory was a "nearside front track rod end ball joint has slight play". The tax is due at the end of April 2013.

points to mention
1) spare key needs a battery
2) The only thing that does not work is the rear parking sensors, but i believe these are aftermarket as the box of gizmos to control them is missing
3) Needs a new drivers floor mat
4) The boot carpet is a bit dirty but i will try and clean it.

Ive personally fitted a new Aux belt tensioner as the last one squeaked too much for my liking

If you are like me and buy cars on condition then you will not be disappointed, i looked at 4 other vrs's before this one and they were either very tatty or didnt drive very nice, this car is the opposite of them.

When I was looking for one just about every car with over 80k was worn through on the drivers mat, looks a good car, a lot better than some of the shite I saw.
I wanted one as a lot of folks on PF have had one and I haven't heard anyone put them down, I'm happy with mine, there just a good all round car

loved my Vrs when i had it, most relaible car i ever owned and at 175k mine was far from on it's last legs.

well priced looks lovely, sold mine 2 weeks ago mine was a 51 plate with 120k full history but had bigger turbo etc mapped to 258bhp loved it sold it for a subaru and I got 2500 for mine

 

Guys, an update.
The mileage is actually more than i thought, its 161. But as a result i will do an oil & filter change before it goes using the correct grade oil for peace of mind for the new owner.

We are still the UK but our cars are just overpriced compared to mainland examples Your car would be £4000-£4500 here at a guess for example.

 

Seems a few members in swindon. I'll have to keep an eye out for this when I come down to gsf in the next few days. I live just outside in watchfield.
