Hi all,

Has anyone got any suggestions as to what I can do about the tailgate striker on my 3dr?
The striker has a plastic bit where the tailgate latch locates, but the plastic's all worn away. I used to just replace them with new ones from Ford, but you can't get them any more.
If there's someone out there with a good one for sale, let me know, but in the meantime, any suggestions as to how I can stop the damn tailgate rattling all them time would be gratefully received.

 

Wrap some tough black tape around the striker

 

ta for that. I've got some thick black duct tape at work, so i'll give that a go

 

I had the same bloody rattling, electrical tape as above and 6 months later still rattle free!
