Default focus st 08 only quarter boosting

hi please could someone help me here.
i bought a focus st last thurs and everything seemed fine.
boosting to half way, but to day it is only boosting to quarter, so rang ford up they said make sure it is warm. So i did this and yes it boosted to half way but dropped to quater mand stuck at a quarter and wouldnt boost past, does anyone know what the problem is. it still has warrenty from the garage and wanna get this sorted. thanks chris

Oil diagphram is known to cause boost issues

i have not been driving this car hard really, do you thing i should be able to get this done from the arnold clarke where i bought it from??

also it does boost half way sometimes?

more then likely the boost solinoid valve below the offside drive shaft common for this

normally the oil diaphram problem put's the oil pressure right up and engine sqeals

It is more them likely the boost control valve mate had it on mine and seems to be the general fault

mate do you have a dump valve ? my mate fitted one , not sure which brand and his st was the same , after hours of ford diags they took the dump valve off and it ran fine again , hope it helps

no it does not have a dump valve.
i will take the car back to arnold clarke and get them to sort the problem.

then i will run it for a month n if fine get it re-mapped

With the exception of the wiring plug it looks very similar to the boost controller I run on my megasquirt managed turbo cabrio.

Would assume you've had this sorted by now but check:
boost solenoid
maf sensor
map sensor
I had the same issue but mine was down to over-fuelling from the wrong map so yours won't be that if it's standard.
If it's none of those then you have a boost/air leak somewhere
